Satt opp en ny SBS 2008 standard.
Etter å ha kjørt inn samtlige oppdateringer fra Microsoft (også til sharepoint) så får eg feilmeldinger i application logg:

eventid: 2436
The start address cannot be crawled.
Context: Application 'Search index file on the search server', Catalog 'Search'

Details:
Access is denied. Verify that either the Default Content Access Account has access to this repository, or add a crawl rule to crawl this repository. If the repository being crawled is a SharePoint repository, verify that the account you are using has "Full Read" permissions on the SharePoint Web Application being crawled. (0x80041205)

Eventid: 2424
The update cannot be started because the content sources cannot be accessed. Fix the errors and try the update again.

Mitt spørsmål er: kva meinast med "In the Value data box, type the host name or the host names for the sites that are on the local computer, and then click OK." som står under punkt 6 på metode 1?
Har forsøkt å legge inn berre servernavnet, slik: sbs01
Bør man også vurdere å legge inn remote.domene.no??
Eller meinast det at man må legge inn alle websiter som kjører i IIS*en?

Prøvde enkelt å greit med å legge inn "remote.domene.no" navnet i registry nøkkelen som nevnt i kb artikkel 896861 og det ser ut til å ha hjulpet. ingen feilmeldinger i eventloggen på en time.

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. In Registry Editor, locate and then click the following registry key:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\MSV1_0
3. Right-click MSV1_0, point to New, and then click Multi-String Value.
4. Type BackConnectionHostNames, and then press ENTER.
5. Right-click BackConnectionHostNames, and then click Modify.
6. In the Value data box, type the URL mentioned in the above warning event, and then click OK.
7. Quit Registry Editor, and then restart the IIS service.

Hvilken URL er det de mener i "In the Value data box, type the URL mentioned in the above warning event, and then click OK"? Står i punkt 6. Nå hagler det inn feilmeldinger hvert 10. minutt.

URL som sal legges inn er vanligvis den som registreres i wizarden "set up your internet address". Det som forvirrer meg noe her er at melingen kommer så hyppig....

Gammel tråd, men jeg tar den opp igjen nå da jeg fortsatt ser veldig mye av eventid 2424 på både denne og andre servere i tillegg til noen feilmeldinger på eventid 3355 (Cannot connect to SQL Server. np:\\.\pipe\MSSQL$Microsoft##SSEE\sql\query not found. osv...)

Denne saken hører ikke hjemme i denne tråden slik jeg ser det. Kan du kjøre SBS 2008 BPA og sjekke om du har stor logfil, og sjekk KB2000544 forde det er mulig at løsningen ligger her.
